The Internet Concept – what Opera Unite is making us to think about

by basilio on June 17, 2009

I was reading these days some news, blog threads and tweets on the release of the new Opera Browser component Opera Unite.

Opera Unite will enable users to directly share contents and applications with other users without to pass from other web services/websites and will let developers to create web applications that can work the same way.
It has the ambitious to … put a media server in every device, open the full potential of the web to everyone, give users the power to reinvent the web.

You can read among the news the following ones:
Opera labs
techcrunch
engadget
Financial Times techblog
mashable

You can also view the Opera video introduction

Enabling people to directly interact in sharing, collaborating and creating is a key aspect of the open web and Opera Unite should be seen more as one of the relevant place in the Internet where technological innovation and social aspects meet, interconnet and reinvent themselves.

Then, it’s all to us to discover how this concept can push forward the role that people will have in the evolution of The Internet and how, in this context, companies can fit and strenghten the relationships with their customers.
